The major news this week was the announcement of Salesforce acquiring Slack for $27.7 billion. With this acquisition, Salesforce is now ready to compete with Microsoft and their Teams product in enterprise SaaS. It was the perfect storm as Slack struggled in the enterprise space trying to knock Microsoft Teams off the top spot, and Salesforce needed a better social chat offering that isnāt named Chatter.
Facebook is boosting its customer engagement by announcing that it will acquire Kustomer for $1 billion. Kustomer provides customer service agents the ability to access a deeper level of customer engagement by delivering an omnichannel CRM platform that brings together multiple customer conversations from various channels into a single view.
This week, Google entered into an agreement to acquire Actifio, a cloud backup leader, and disaster recovery solutions. This acquisition will expand Googleās offering for cloud backup and disaster recovery as enterprises continue to migrate workloads to the cloud. Actifio has been a Google Cloud channel partner for the past four years.
š¤ Partner Program Announcements
Amazon Web Services is putting the spotlight on ISVs and AWS Consulting Partners to launch their new ISV Partner Path program. Set to launch in January, The new partner program will replace the traditional tier structure by focusing on ISVās service level recognition and validation. The program will also include AWS Consulting Partners, giving them immediate access to tailored AWS programs and benefits, including sandbox credits for product development, acceleration funding, and assistance from the AWS sales and partner and marketing teams.
Reciprocity, the company behind ZenGRC, a platform that enables companies to track, manage, and assess information security compliance and remediate risk, announces the launch of a new channel partner program. The new program enhances partner opportunities and incentives, captures new revenue streams, and drives tighter collaboration to help customers through digital transformation.
Dubber, the company behind Cisco Webex Callingās recording and data capture capabilities, launches a new global channel partner program for Cisco and Cisco resellers. The new program will offer Cisco resellers access to significant market development funds, dedicated support, and access to incremental incentives.
accessiBe, the market leader for website accessibility automation and ADA compliance, officially launched its strategic partner program. The partner program will offer partners such as web developers, web design studios, and marketing agencies the ability to choose the structure of partnership that best suits their individual needs.
