Around the Industry
In a continued effort to increase engagement and new product capabilities, Twitter announced that it had acquired newsletter monetization platform, Revue. With the acquisition, Twitter enters the newsletter market and plans to allow writers an easier way to connect with their subscribers thru followers and the ability to host conversations with audiences thru its platform. Notably, Twittered made all of Revue’s Pro features available to all accounts and reduced the fee charged on paid newsletters to 5% to attract more writers and publishers to the platform.
SAP announced that it has agreed to acquire Signavio, a leader in enterprise business process intelligence and management. With the acquisition, SAP gets a cloud-native business process management tool to add to its new business process offering, the RISE with SAP package, that helps companies perform a holistic business transformation to achieve the requirements needed to gain a competitive edge.
Sunstone Partners, a private equity firm focused on tech-enabled cloud services companies, announced the acquisitions of three ServiceNow partners: Evergreen Systems, Cerna Solutions, and Nova/Scale. The three companies have delivered over 5,000 successful customer projects combined. The acquisitions will create the largest independent consulting partner exclusive to offering ServiceNow workflow and products.
Partner Program Announcements
After a year of rapid partner growth where it saw triple the amount of new partner generated revenue, Salsify announced its partner program's launch. Salsify, the commerce experience platform for brands, tailored the partner program to meet the specific partner goals for agencies, systems integrators, and consultancies. The program will offer a tiered level of benefits for partners that include access to the Salsify Certification Program, co-marketing opportunities, and dedicated enablement and support resources.
IGEL, provider of the next-gen edge OS for cloud workspaces, announced a redesigned partner program that promises to offer partner enablement resources through skills development and joint customer engagement. The new program will improve upon the former regional program that favored transactional relationships and focus on a global program that offers skills and training for sales, technical, and architectural professionals. New tiers will be added and a new portal that allows partners to see how they’re doing, what rebates they earned, payment status, and partner level attainment.
Robin.io, a developer of Kubernetes storage, data management, and application automation technology, announced the Robin.io Partner Program's launch. The new program recognizes the crucial role partners play in helping customers deploy, maintain, and optimize Robin technologies. Tailored for software companies, systems integrations, resellers, and cloud providers, the program will offer three tiers with various benefits: joint marketing opportunities, certification, sales support, co-selling program, sales training, and discounts.
Partnership Announcements
FourKites, a leading real-time supply chain visibility platform, announced a new alliance with Infosys, a digital services and consulting leader, to deliver visibility solutions to supply chain professionals. The surge in demand to optimize the entire supply chain ecosystem due to capacity shortages, trade tensions, and COVID-19 impact resulted in the ideal partnership to leverage Infosys’ expertise in complex global supply chain and logistics functions with FourKites’ industry-leading visibility solutions.
Confluent, the event streaming pioneer, announced a new strategic alliance with Microsoft to enable a seamless, integrated experience between Confluent Cloud and the Azure platform. Through this alliance, Azure customers can now access an extensive library of pre-built connectors, a unified billing model, and deeper integrations to build real-time applications faster without event streaming's typical operational burdens.
PepsiCo and Beyond Meat announced a new joint venture, The PLANeT Partnership, LLC, to produce and market innovative snacks and beverage products made from plant-based protein. The new joint venture will allow PepsiCo to expand its portfolio of providing more nutritious products to build a more sustainable food system. For Beyond Meat, the joint venture will reach more consumers by entering new product categories and distribution channels.
