Around the Industry
Cisco announced it would acquire Kenna Security, a risk-based vulnerability management provider, to expand its SecureX platform. Kenna Security’s technology will integrate with SecureX and allow customers to discover and prioritize assets to proactively orchestrate patch management, manage virtual assets, and easily generate compliance reports. As work-from-anywhere policies continue to expand, the risks for cyberattacks will require faster collaboration between security and IT teams.
Cisco also announced it would acquire Socio Labs, a modern event technology platform that gives event organizers the ability to host in-person, virtual, or hybrid events of any size and format. The acquisition will allow Cisco to expand Webex Events beyond meetings, webinars, and webcasts functionality to include large-scale, multi-session hybrid events and conferences.
Twilio announced it would acquire Zipwhip, a messing services platform, for $850 million. Zipwhip’s business messaging platform enables companies to reach customers through SMS via their existing toll-free phone numbers. Zipwhip currently has over 30,000 global customers and resellers and provides onboarding, gateway, registry, and spam detection and remediation to all major U.S. carriers. The acquisition will give Twilio the ability to strengthen its business messaging services and customer engagement offerings.
Siemens announced it would acquire Supplyframe, a leading marketplace for the global electronics value chain, for $700 million. Supplyframe’s marketplace intelligence technology will be the center of Siemen’s digital marketplace strategy. The acquisition strengthens Siemen’s portfolio through SaaS in Electronic Design Automation and Printed Circuit Boards and gives them the advantage to scale into other domains and technology fields.
STMicroelectronics announced it would acquire Cartesiam, a software company specializing in AI development tools that enable machine-learning and inferencing Arm-based microcontrollers. Devices such as connected devices, household appliances, and industrial machines leveraging Cartesiam’s technology are already in production around the world today. With the acquisition, STMicroelectronics reinforces its AI strategy and strengthens its technology portfolio to address the full spectrum of embedded machine learning needs.
Partner Program Announcements
Connectwise, a leading provider of business automation software for technology solution providers, announced the launch of its partner program to help partners grow their cybersecurity practice. The ConnectWise Partner Program will offer partners such as MSPs access to exclusive offerings, resources, and support to help them improve profitability and scale to meet the demand for managed cybersecurity solutions.
Yotpo, an eCommerce marketing platform, announced that it had redesigned its partner program to meet the growing needs of its partner community. To support its diverse types of service and agency partners, the partner program will recognize and reward its most active and loyal partners, provide more access to Yotpo-supported marketing opportunities, enablement resources, and enhanced support options for clients and brands.
Synopsys, a leading provider of security solutions, announced the launch of its Technolgy Alliance Partner Program for development, DevOps, and security technology providers. Partners will partner with Synopsys through the program to integrate its application security and risk management solutions within their products. These integrations will make it easier for companies to build automated application security controls into their existing DevOps toolchains.
Partnership Announcements
Accion Labs, an innovation company specializing in emerging technologies and digital transformation, and Company.com LLC announced a strategic partnership to deliver a scalable, turnkey Digital Experience Platform solution for accelerating digital transformation. As a result of the partnership, Accion Labs will have direct access to developer resources and support from the Company.com team in bringing implementations, making Company.com’s DXP the solution of choice for Accion’s digital transformation practice.
ZoomInfo, a global leader in go-to-market intelligence solutions, announced a partnership with Snowflake to centralize and streamline data delivery. Joint customers will be able to leverage prebuilt ZoomInfo data sets or work with ZoomInfo’s Data Services team to create custom data sets. With the partnership, customers can now improve their data delivery from the cloud and power their go-to-market motions more effectively.
