Around the Industry
Ericsson announced it would acquire Vonage, a global cloud communications provider, for $6.2 billion to strengthen its wireless offerings to enterprise businesses. With the acquisition, Ericsson will have access to Vonage’s cloud contact center, communications APIs, and VoIP solution. In addition, Vonage’s robust developer ecosystem will gain access to Ericsson’s 4G and 5G APIs to develop innovative global offerings.
Partner Program Announcements
Amazon Web Services announced a significant overhaul to its partner program to simplify engagement, streamline partner experience, and expand partner access to benefits. Starting January 28, 2022, partners will be able to enroll in one or multiple paths based on their offerings - Software Path, Hardware Path, Training Path, Distribution Path, and Service Path. As partners progress along each path, they can leverage enablement resources, unlock funding benefits, and access programs to help differentiate their offerings.
Juniper Networks, a leader in secure, AI-driven networks, announced updated enhancements to its global Juniper Partner Advantage Program. Starting January 2022, the partner program will feature a new top-tier level, Elite Plus, that offers superior support, investments, rewards, and dedicated business development resources to its most dedicated partners. Additional updates to the program include expanded partner communities, shared virtual workspaces for collaboration, a new Learning Academy, and incentive rewards for partner-led and new deal opportunity registration.
Kong, a leading service connectivity platform, announced enhancements to its partner program for technology providers, VARs, and SIs. KongForce partners will now have access to an improved onboarding process, simplified legal procedure, and access to more tailored sales and marketing resources. In addition, partners will have access to a custom-built partner portal to take advantage of sales and technical certification, improved margins, and MDF programs to help drive leads.
CyGlass, a leading SaaS-based Network Detection and Response platform, announced that it has made enhancements to better support MSPs and MSSPs along with new updates to its channel program. The revamped Velocity program will offer additional financial incentives and co-marketing funds to drive demand. In addition, partners now have access to new enablement tools such as an enhanced partner portal, demo environment, sales and marketing tools, and quarterly business reviews.
Illumio, a leader in Zero Trust segmentation, announced the launch of a new global partner program for technology partners. The Illumio Technology Alliance Partner Program makes it easy for partners to integrate with Illumio’s Zero Trust solutions through technology, APIs, documentation, and support to deliver comprehensive solutions for enterprise customers.
Partnership Announcements
Microsoft and CVS Health announced a strategic alliance to reimagine personalized care and accelerate digital transformation. Both companies will collaborate to create data-driven solutions that will allow CVS to enhance its omnichannel pharmacy capabilities and deliver personalized health recommendations. In addition to expanding cloud-based solutions for frontline workers, both companies will explore technology solutions that support consumers, employees, and ecosystem partners.
